Humans Of Singapore
The following project was taken for a photography module that I took in school.
The theme was street photography were we were tasked to go onto the streets and photograph the people. My series of photograph was taken around Orchard Road and it portrays the jobs of people working there in unusual ways.
The first shot was of this lovely uncle who works as a cleaner on the streets on Somerset. I went there to photograph people in their working environment and he was more than keen for me to photograph him. He was a lovely soul.

The second shot was of this auntie working at McDonalds. I was surprised
to see her working because she looked way past retirement age. But as I photographed her, I observed how comfortable and skilful she was at what she was doing.

The third shot was of this bubbly uncle selling tissues outside 313@Somerset.
I've always see him outside and as I approached him to ask if I could photograph him, he was extremely
happy and willing.

The fourth shot was of this auntie whose profession is literally to get her photos taken. She travels around Singapore and takes photo with people so naturally she was really comfortable with the camera.

The fifth and final shot was of the ice cream uncle who braves the sun and rain to bring us really good $1 ice cream. Initially he was hesitant to let me photograph him but I later learnt from his daughter-in-law (also in picture) that he's just naturally abit grumpy but has a big heart and loves his job.
